Charlie Hunter was born near Hamilton Canada, but has lived in London U.K. for close to 30 years.
Charlie is predominantly a figurative artist working in mixed media, print and digital.
He graduated from The Ontario College of Art in Toronto Canada (now OCADU). He went on to do his post-graduate in illustration at Central St, Martins in London UK.
Charlie has worked in the creative industry in London since his graduation. His illustration work has appeared in the Sunday Times, GQ and Time Out magazines. He has also done book covers for Fourth Estate and Orion.
Charlie started advertising as a storyboard and concept artist. He branched out to digital art working as a technical director for 3d animation and post production. He now works in digital brand advertising for a creative agency.
Charlie has always pursued his personal art projects in tandem with his advertising work. Over the last 10 years his artwork has been in group shows in Australia, Toronto, Manchester, and London UK. Charlie has also had his artwork published in three Bruno Gmunder Anthologies, Hair, Big Love and Fur: The Love of Hair.
Mike Wyeld makes his home in London UK but was born in Etobicoke, Canada, in a neighborhood not normally associated with art.
Mike is an award winning sound designer and filmmaker.
Mike studied at the National Film and Television School in the United Kingdom where he was the BAFTA Scholar in Sound Design, he holds a Masters Degree from that institution. Mike also has a Masters Degree in History and Theory from the University of East London in the UK, where his tutors included Stuart Hall.
Mike has worked for MTV, Channel 4 (UK), the BBC and more as a sound designer and writer.
Mike holds a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in the UK for his teaching in Sound Art; he has won a Royal Television Society Award for his sound design and served as a Cultural Ambassador to Ehime Prefecture in Japan.
Mike is an educator at the Royal College of Art in London, where he runs the Sound Studio and teaches sound.
Mike has had solo shows and group shows over a 10 year period, his film The Lovers and Fighters Convention has been shown in the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Boston Museum of Fine Art, represented by The British Council.
Mike has had financial support from the British Film Institute, The Arts Council of England and The Royal College of Art.
LOVED, Mike and Charlie’s project together, has had major shows in Provincetown, Massachusetts, Tallinn Estonia, Helsinki Finland and in London, UK with support from Amnesty International (UK), The Finnish Institute and Finn air.
