Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. Mike’s sound design work has been heard in galleries around the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Boston Museum of Fine Art, and Sonar D in Barcelona among many others. As a Sound Designer and Mixer his work has been heard on the BBC and Channel 4 in the UK in addition to Adult Swim in the United States. Mike has written for Harper Collins Publishers, Lawrence and Wishart and MTV. The sitters and interviewees have been chosen from around the world, with their only shared feature being that they in some way self identify as part of the Bear Community, a subculture of queer men that has developed mostly in the last 20 years.
